IONA Senior Services

The CCACC Program

Our Work

For eight weeks during the summer, our program leaders Jude Kelly and Faris Price dedicated over 250 volunteer hours to IONA Senior Services, fostering meaningful connections between youth and seniors. Participants organized interviews and events to share wisdom and advice from the senior community, creating a bridge between generations.

The program also hosted intergenerational activities, such as fitness sessions and bingo games, encouraging collaboration, mutual understanding, and shared joy. These activities provided a platform for youth to engage with seniors in meaningful ways, promoting mental and physical well-being for all participants while building a sense of community.

Our IONA program has recently started a social media channel to capture these intergenerational interviews check it out at Timeless Wisdom
